Poster for noted Iran actor Shahab Hosseini’s stage play ‘The Confession’ has been released in the run up to premiere in Iran.
The actor-turned- director’s sophomore theatrical work will soon premiere at a theater hall in Iran.
Hosseini has already staged a theater play titled ‘Meeting, based on Franco–Belgian playwright Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s ‘The Visitor’.
‘The Confession’ will be performed on stage from June 21 for a duration of two months.
Iran veteran actor Ali Naseerian and the director himself will play the leads in ‘The Confession’.
Hosseini is internationally known for collaborations with noted Iranian director Asghar Farhadi in ‘About Elly’, ‘A Separation’ and ‘The Salesman’.
The actor has won the best actor award at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for his role in Asghar Farhadi’s ‘The Salesman’ (2016).
Hosseini has appeared in other movies such as 'This Woman Won't Talk' (2002), 'Poisonous Honey' (2002), 'Ziggurat Goddess' (2003), 'Loneliness' (2007), 'Anahita' (2009), 'The Final Whistle' (2012), 'The Five-Star' (2013), 'The Resident of the Middle Floor' (2013) and 'Time to Love' (2014).
